Under the Yum-Yum Treeby pixelpigComment: I find this sort of photo virtually impossible to pull off satisfactorily - you have done it very well indeed. Exposure and focus is spot on, but it is the composition that provides this with its success. |

Youthful Vigorby lynnesiteComment: The timing is perfect, the composition is sound, and the play of light is gorgeous. |

Gondoleer's Concernby g14nComment: My instant reaction - "oh, that's lovely". And on second viewing? Just the same! |

Simple Flowerby njb123Comment: Just come back across this one (following the trail of 'not shallow enough' comments) and I am glad I did. jayson may be right in his analysis of the focus, but it is a VERY pretty photograph with a perfect shallow depth of field! |

50 cents in changeby timfythetooComment: Apart from the obvious appeal of the young Toos, this has all sorts of quirky little details that add to the effect. Some thta stand out for me are the framing of the apex of the building to the right by the top of the stand; the echoing of the pverhang of the cart by the open boot of the van; and the way the boot lid on the left is balanced by the tow bar on the right. Don't know whether it would have done better than your original entry (that I also liked, by the way)as I feel it is a photo that deserves more time to view than the average challenge entry is afforded.
Oh, think about cloning out the woman in the green trousers, perhaps? |

Walls, roofs, chimneys, antennasby LevTComment: I can almost feel the heat. I'm not usually overly keen on the use of effects filters, but it works here - apart from making it look like a painting, it gives a heat mirage feel to the image. I like it very much. |
