In memory of JWby hajekaComment: I am afraid I don't know who JW was...
I couldn't really see this photo accompanying a news article, and I struggle to realy get a connection with the challenge. As a stand alone photo it seems a luittle flat and I get a feeling of accidental composition. |

Early Additionby muur88Comment: The School Bus(?) adds the emotive factor to the scene. The scene is perhaps a bit too cluttered and because of this, for me, loses some of its impact. I wonder if a stronger composition would be possible by zooming in so that just the front of the bus, the fire truck and the 'arrested' man and officers were in the frame? |

Agility dogs jump at State Titlesby NodeComment: A good clean shot, with pleasing light and contrast. Good choice of depth of field, and perfect timing. I could see this accompanying an article in a regional paper - although perhaps not front page material. |

One Long Stepby actnoutComment: Meets the challenge, certainly, but could benefit from a different composition. as it is, it is just a straight record shot of the moon, with little artistic interpretation. |

Promenade des Anglais - Nice, Franceby slo007Comment: The leading line of the rail and the lights further on do give a good feeling of distance, but the photo lacks sufficient interest to hold my attention for long. I feel it would benefit from some more foreground interest in the lower right. |

Early Morning Departureby ErikVComment: This certainly fits the challenge well, and you have presented an intersting seascape well. I am somewhat unsure about the presence of the power boat, although I would conceded that the placement of the line made by the wake pleasingly echoes the further line of the land on the horizon. |

Christian Science Church - Bostonby krglComment: The perspective is good, and this is certainly an interesting take on the building. I do wish that either more of the domed building behind was visible, or none at all. |
