Avedon Inspirationby cyclingtmbComment: I wonder if this was taken from behind a screen? There is a textural effect visible on the hair and part of the helmet that to my eyes at least doesn't really add anything to the overall image, and the overall feel is one of soft focus, where for this subject I feel a sharper image would be more suited. It is a shame that the helmet strap is undone - I think the model would look more single-mindedly focussed with it fastened. |

My Love is gone.......by onarComment: The placement of the boats wake is rather unfortunate - almost as though your model is snorting a line of coke... That said, I like the idea of weaving a narrative into your portrait, and your title works well with this. |

Unbelievableby pixelpigComment: After the week Man U had, I am not quite sure why your model is looking so glum.... Not sure if it is an art effect filter you have used, or the photo has a noise problem, but the end result doesn't, to my eyes at least, really compliment the photo. |

Sweet Dreamsby JewlyaComment: Interesting - viewed this on my (abysmal) monitor at work, and all I could see was the fire. Here at homeon my laptop the full image is visible. I really like your idea of using firelight for the portrait, and having some context set, but to really pull it off I feel that you needed just a little more light. |
