Shirley Templeby Martini_BeachComment: OK, I think there may be something I am not getting here....
So, my voting is based on the technical merits and aesthetic appeal of a photo of a pyrex mixing bowl filled with some unknown substance (possibly ice in pink grapefruit juice?) in which is embedded a blue plastic sword and two skeletal straw like objects! Certainly strange, and I'll admit I am curious, but ultimately not a photo that I would seek out to view again. |

Stripesby EstimatedEyesComment: Oh, well spotted! The expressions on your two subjects are perfect, too. |

All American Girlsby RingostarrComment: This is rather clever! I recognise the model, but don't know which of the four possibles the photographer is....
The composition and styling is lovely, and the skin tones are gorgeous. My only slight criticism is that my eyes are drawn to the very bright top. Nonetheless, very good work. |

Orca Spyhoppingby zymaraComment: This is one of those photos that mean so so much more to the people that were there and witnessed the events. The placement of the three elements in the photo is good, and provides a strong sense of context, but as an unconnected viewer I wish that the focus was on the whales rather than the onlooking ship. |

Helenium autumnaleby undieyatchComment: Nicely observed, although I do feel the vertical lines immediately behind the Helenium flowers are a little distracting. |

...show off.by RKTComment: Normally a subject that would make me squirm (the coy sweetness, not the nudity), but this is just so well observed, so considered, it really has to be marked as a considerable success. I love the way the dof and the processing, and holga-istic vignetting, gives the impression of sneaking a view, almost voyeuristic. |

Two of a Kindby LadyKComment: Competently composed - the oblique angle gives an interesting play on scale. Ultimately though, I find the photo rather dull, with nothing making me wish to linger. |
