Gusby cynthiannComment: Lack of focus on your subject hurts this. The concept is good, but some way to go with the technicals. Looks like you may have converted to B&W because the dog is suffering from 'green eye' - one way to overcome that is to have the flash off-camera. I also wonder if the composition could be improved by adopting a higher viewpoint. as it is the viewer is looking up at the dog, which is slightly intimidating, and uncomfortable - you may want to explore taking portraits at eye level. Keep practicing. |

Holiday Musicby colorcarnivalComment: The colours are appealing, and i particularly like the effect of the out of focus drum on the right. Overall, though, I find the photo too busy for my tastes, and wish the in focus ornament stood out more from the background. |

Holiday bokeh with shoehornby Yo_SpiffComment: That is one impressive border! Good clarity, super cheerful colours, and made me laugh. Have to deduct a point or two for the lens flare on the shoe-horn, though! |

Sherryl & Peter 2008 Xmas Cardby sherpetComment: And a Merry Christmas to you and Pete too. This is such a feel-good card that can't help but make people smile and feel happy. Hoping 2009 is kinder to you than 2008 has been. |

06.jpgby incubusComment: I prefer this to the version you entered. The colours are warmer, and lend themselves to the background blur. This series of photos really is very good - focus remains sharp throughout. |

dddd800.jpgby MotekComment: Hee, terriers love to look fierce. We used to have a Lakeland/Border cross that would take on anything, including a Rotweiler once. This photo really does capture that spirit. |
