The colour combination works really well, particularity with the soft blue, uncluttered background.

I like the composition, the tight framing, and the colour palette. A little over-sharpened for my taste.

Safer than the drinking water, I suspect! An interesting socio-documentary type image.

I like this for the tenderness captured - both grandmother (?) and baby have such a look of wonderment.

That has to be one of the ugliest, strangest looking birds on the planet. I agree with Jedusi - it wouldn't look out of place as an extra in Jurrasic Park!

I reckon it is the Brown Falcon, Falco berigora - the barring on the tail feathers is typical, but I am no expert on Australian birds! I would be delighted to have captured this - it is so exciting to see birds of prey in the wild.

We seem to get so few butterflies here in the UK these days, so it is lovely to see other's photos of them. This is really nice - crisp focus and lovely colours on the butterfly, and interesting that it is feeding on a flower of similar colours. Do you think that is just chance, or part of nature's design? On a technical note, it would be good if there was just a bit more separation of the foreground subject from the background - I think that has more to do with the similarity of colours than with the depth of field not being shallow enough, and personally in this instance I am not terribly keen on the coloured border.
