Classic Anchorby irfanmalekComment: I am completely missing the double-exposure effect here. As far as the photo goes, it seems to have been taken in fairly bright light . The shadow that cuts across the right hand prong of the anchor is distracting, and the smaller green anchor gets rather lost against the green background of the deck surface. |

Into the mysticby TrollManComment: This was my favourite of the challenge, and hoped to see it in a ribbon position. Nonetheless, congrats on the Top 10. |

Blackcomb & Whistler Mtnsby signal2noiseComment: I was one of your lower votes, and spent some time viewing the photo before I voted. On balance, I found the ultra low viewpoint unsettling, and initially found it hard to make sense of the scene. The sense of drama and the tonal range are good, although I wonder if the blacks could have been pushed a little more? |

Field 587by MelethiaComment: I actually prefer this to your entry - not saying it would have done any better, but it appeals to me more. There is more that I can hang something of myself on - memories of, hankerings for, summer walks in the evening, picnics, exploring. |

Coastline viewby MelethiaComment: I have to admit I am fairly ambivalent about this photo - I don't think this standard view of seeing the landscape suits your eye, photo vision, style. I far prefer your street work, urban landscapes, and quirky urban landscape details. |

Knaresborough, UKby p2jvrComment: I thought this might be yours, John. It really is very good, and with a bit of dodging and burning to increase contrast and bring out the blacks more, it will make an excellent print. Congrats on a fine finish in such a strong challenge. |
