Passing Squall, Herring River by Bear_MusicComment: Now this is lovely, and I can't imagine a more pleasing photo being taken in daylight. Calm, peaceful, quiet, understated.

Catching the 5:00am trainby Point_Shoot_and_RunComment: This works well for me. The blur adds to the sense of time - almost as though I am looking at the scene through sleep fogged eyes. Quite strange - you have captured a feeling of movement,speed, quietness, and stillness all in the same image. |

At first I wasn't keen on the motion blur as the boats bob on the water, but on reflection, I think that it adds to the ambiance. Border suits the image, and again, adds to the feeling you were going for, as does the split-tone colouring. |
