Hibiscus with foliageby FlexPixComment: An interesting flower and you have captured the striations and ruffles. The foliage is very much incidental to the flowe, and as such the photo is at a distinct disadvantage in this challenge. I would urge you to explore different framings - get down low, level with the flower, shoot upwards, across, try with more of the environment included in the frame. |

OCTfik2_R000013by tnunComment: Sums up today perfectly! A 'found' image - a record shot - that perfectly illustrates the dismal, wet autumn day and suggests the miserable dark days of winter that will follow. (It's absolutely p***ing it down here...) |

Best seasonby toutoungiComment: I rather like your unconventional framing - It gives the viewer the chance to explore the image, although that said it may not work well for speed voters. The toning works well here. For this challenge, I do wish that the leaves had a little more prominence and that it didn't appear as though a sapling was growing out of your model's hand, nonetheless, a lovely image. |

Zelly and Samby tnunComment: Technically unconventional (horrible was the first word I used, but I donĂ¢€™t think my tone using it translated well to the written space), compositionally a tad 'off' for this viewer, and yet it totally captures the bond between dog and owner. I do though have a couple of issues with it that prevent, for me, it moving into the artlessly charming, high scoring area. The most glaring is the encroachment of a hand to the left of the frame - once spotted, this totally changed the way I viewed the photo. Strange how a tiny thing like that can matter so much. |

Lil Missby timfythetooComment: A very comfy, if somewhat startled, looking cat. Good exposure, nice setting. A bit of a shame moggy is looking just above the viewer rather than right in to our eyes. |

Supervisorby MelethiaComment: Oh, I do like this (and I do recognise owner and feline). A really good composition, that totally nails the relationship between cat and human. |

Portrait of a Scruffy Dogby MaryOComment: A tad over sharpened, especially the eye, to the point that it actually becomes somewhat uncomfortable to view. Taking that aside, you have a good portrait here - definitely worth going back in and toning down a notch.6 - would have been a 7 or 8 without the over-sharpening. |

Bad Dog!!by Art RoflmaoComment: Oh my goodness! I am guessing, but by no means completely certain, that this is a child's model of a crocodile/alligator. A fun photo that has certainly made me laugh. |
