Okay - Now I am really happy!....Welcome Christoph to the wonderful world of B/W Image of the Week. What a great start to the side challenge for you. The darkness and grain really contribute a great sense of impending loss or abandonment. The placement of the lighted staircase in the lower right really anchors the image and provides a great balance to the windows at the top.

what a great capture - two close friends enjoying each other - i am not sure about the 'pimping of the eyes' here - the two seem so fresh and I think the more realistic eyes would really work out great here
