by MephistoComment: Okay - Now I am really happy!....Welcome Christoph to the wonderful world of B/W Image of the Week. What a great start to the side challenge for you. The darkness and grain really contribute a great sense of impending loss or abandonment. The placement of the lighted staircase in the lower right really anchors the image and provides a great balance to the windows at the top. |

Mill Reflection - WK04by DJWoodwardComment: Del - I am so happy to see you are participating in this. I love the finished look of this one. Your eye is so good at picking up on the beauty of New England and providing it such a high level of quiet dignity. I will be taking lessons from you all year long in this challenge... |

01 Misty Flightby SandyPComment: Are you showing off again SandyP?!!! This is insane - in a completely excellent way. Well, maybe... except that you have broken the law...i mean the rule...anyway...i love it and you ROCK once again.
The hint of the falls behind you adds just the right level of subtle detail to really bring this one to a new level. I can't wait to see what is next. |

Warehouse Door Detailby BAMartinComment: i like the choice of cropping to show the repeating curves and squares and the intimate imperfections of the brickwork |

The Hideoutby HipychikComment: what a cool spot - i absolutely love the little cart opposite the fancy 50s car - it's like Bonnie and Clyde could walk onto the scene at any moment |

4-Ebony&Ivory--002-V4.jpgby 777STANComment: what a great capture - two close friends enjoying each other - i am not sure about the 'pimping of the eyes' here - the two seem so fresh and I think the more realistic eyes would really work out great here |

frozen pondby VeioletsComment: excellent control of exposure on the snow/ ice - i can almost count the individual crystals... the shadows really provide a great break to the snow |
