Birds on a Poleby SoulComment: i always find it odd that birds tend to flock together on poles like this. driving down the highway, we see poles with a hundred birds barely fitting, and then the next pole is completely empty - funny, and odd, thing about birds
technically - i think the narrow crop really hurts you here - especially with the small 640pixel image - we lose the detail of the birds
possibly a closer crop with a similar set up - placing the birds off center - would provide the same feel but with a bit more for us as viewers to see and enjoy
this shot seems more like a snapshot of three birds to complete a taste in some sort of scavenger hunt rather than a photo for a photo challenge |

Alone with Myselfby the99Comment: clearly meets challenge and the title helps us make the connection, i can see how you used the low lit choice to create a bit of 'alone feel' |

Five Stigma Drawby blue jean babeComment: splendid delivery on this macro - the colors, placement of objects in focus and the background oof focus areas all work great |

Oddball by IreneMComment: very cool stuff - wonderful capture of this droplet(?) - the colors are serene and the centered crop works well here |

Odd One Outby pix-alComment: nice still life, stock type photo - a bit bright in the background, but very good technicals otherwise |

The Oddballby jasonlpriceComment: cool use of shallow dof, gorgeous use of bokeh on the leaves - we can still see some great detail!, and good use of title to bring the concept together with the challenge |

One - Hand Tied Dragonflyby pillikcamComment: cool 'fly' - i wish the cropping was either tighter or a bit wider so that more of the hand tied fly was visible, or wider so the wing tips were not cut off - also, the angle of the shot does not help - the reflection of the wings really is distracting |

WW 2 Planeby CamComment: cool perspective shot - love the 'oh baby' and the odd number - it works for me!
but, should it be WW II not WW2? |

Uno flowerby justin27Comment: dandolions are cool little flowers - especially when gone to seed - i think the details could be a bit stronger on the delicate seeds themselves - and the background seems to overwhelm the main subject a bit too much |

Sometimes The Odds Come Out In Your Favorby epescalaComment: interesting take on the challenge - it works for me!
I would have liked it if the cards in hand were the main subject of the shot - this could have been emphasized more by better focus on those cards, better lighting on that section of the image. instead, it seems that the focus is squarely on the chips in the lower portion of the shot |
