prairie skyby ralphComment: what a pretty field and a lovely sky. i can see why it is hard to decide which to crop - but i am not a big fan of the centered horizon here - i think the sky is more dramatic and is more worthy of our attension. Possibly a different crop - horizontal with an emphasis on the sky would have provided more feeling of balance between the sky and the field |

Rural colorsby littlebigmanComment: the harshness of the lines and the tree at the horizon as a stopping point does not really work for me - i think i see what you are trying to do - showing the contrasting colors and textures of new versus ready for harvest, but i just think the composition really segments the shot too much for me |

Brent Torby paynekjComment: like a 19th century painting - the soft light, the deep rich colors, the high placement of the castle - lovely stuff |

A Silo, A Barn and A Bale (or two)by higgledyComment: i think this works very nicely - the lighting and placement of the horizon work well but i wonder if a higher perspective to get the haybales from overlapping so much would have helped this one a bit |

Expanseby MGComment: excellent capture of some dramatic clouds - i almost would like to see more of the horizon here - it looks like this one could benefit from more of a square crop (or a much large format that 640) to bring out both the clouds and the lovely quiet scene |

The Hay Fieldby XMountaineerComment: the sky, the hay rolls, the barn in the background - very good overall - and the choice of b/w with reasonably high contrast really provides this one some punch |

Tetons at Oxbow Bend by RissaComment: absolutely splendid postcard quality image - the pine in the foreground continues the theme of triangles created by these majestic mountains |

Old Farm Houseby pjangelComment: lovely scene - the farm in the background really grounds the shot nicely - i just wonder about the choice of sepia with the grey looking sky |
