Mark - Your entry had all the color and bubbles elements that will help it score well, but I really love the feel and look of this image.

Very dark and pensive, with the fan of the pencils reaching out into the unfocused world beyond. Very nice work.

what wonderful elements you found - that cool dock, the awesome boat and that dramatic bridge. I wonder about the crop and composition a bit. Having both sides of the dock in the photo actually cuts the image in two a bit for me. Getting on the dock a bit more, lining up the shot so that the dock is in the lower right at a slope would provide you with an opportunity to frame the boat a bit more, and at the same time get the bridge more centered so it can act as a natural border for the photo.

Around the processing - the image seems just a bit noisy, and coudl probably benefit from a boost in levels.
