A wonderful vision to see this scene for what it can be and attempt to capture it. I think you have done a pretty good job here of telling the story, but I wonder if your distance from the scene makes it seem more a 'glance' than 'deep look'. These type shots are likely to score poorly, although they are a joy to linger over and try to find the hidden stories.

on the technical side, i think Jagar hit it with the harshness of the light (the wave is blown out).
