World's Fastest Snail by LevTComment: absolutely amazing ..
and thankyou for detailing how you achieved this image ..
after reading your notes i'm still in the dark to be honest .. !! ..
which of course has nothing to do with your explanation but everything to do with my ability to understand ..
anyway .. enough about my deficiencies .. ;)
when i first saw this i was blown away .. its an extremely attractive image .. no doubt ..
the colours i find particularly appealing ..
but its also technically excellent ..
both of which seem to be trade marks of your photography ... no matter what genre ..
many congratulations on the blue .. totally fitting considering your colour palette .. :)

Chiara by rozComment: Originally posted by mariuca: You have a special way to take photos of kids. Well, and insects also obviously. Let me not ignore Mr Todd.
A daring composition in contrast with the sweet sincerity of the girl.
PS. I would not call this a chiaroscuro though because of the big impact on the white. Chiaroscuro could be a literal translation: a bit of light in a pool of obscurity. Think Rembrandt |
thankyou so much Mariuca .. firstly for your compliments .. they mean a lot to me ..
and second for the education .. a bit of light in a pool of obscurity .. i will definitely remember that .. xx |

Heat and Dustby mariucaComment: this has such an emotive impact ..
it looks deserted .. i like how different ppl would interpret this scene differently ..
i think it deserved more love from the voters .. but thats just my personal opinion .. xx
