The Little Red Henby michael_pComment: hi michael ... thank you so much for going to such lengths to explain how this sort of shot is achieved ... i had a tripod which broke on the first use a month ago, and wanted to go buy one, but was told to wait till after xmas!! ...
so after xmas ... all going well regarding pressies etc ... i'll enjoy using this effect with our dog .... coz i'm not very photogenic ...
and i'll keep you posted ....
'the little red hen' is pretty good for a first attempt ...... let me now if you do anymore ...

My beautiful son in the bright morning sun.by timmotykaComment: i was interested to see how this shot went in the challenge, coz i actually remembered it from when i voted =10, and i'm pretty amazed that it didnt get in at least the top 10 ...
there are actually rules for voting and one of the rules is that ppl 'may not vote in a manner that suggests an intent to disrupt the voting system' ... i'd say that in plain english that means that we should give the entry a 'reasonable' vote ..... i cant imagine that anyone voting on your entry was being reasonable when they gave you a 1, 2, or a 3 ... of course ppl can have different likes and dislikes and baby photos may not be to some ppl's taste ... so from 4 up you'd have to consider that ...
i checked out your portfolio and profile and it looks as tho you are much to young to be even holding a camera, let alone taking such great shots ... Message edited by author 2006-12-07 05:03:59. |

Horses & Trap IIIby cheekymunkyComment: awesome .......
and thanks for shot details ie 'burst mode' and 'AI servo focus' ... i'll use that info to my advantage!! ... have had 400D for nearly 2 months and go backwards and forwards between auto and manual focus .. havent mastered auto focus yet!! .. seems a brain transplant is in order ... So I said "Give me back my keys. I'm ok to drive".by NobodyComment: i reckon this should have done a whole heap better ... it's miles ahead of so many others that were voted higher ... and even tho you didnt really know how the guy got hurt, your interpretation is valid as a message ... the expression on his face, taken together with the conversation he's having on his fone, the 'headwear' and the title is extremely emotive ... Coincidence?by nixterComment: 'i'm starting to feel nervous!', refers to the ricketty legs the smaller tank's sitting on ... or .. 'the view's great from up here' ... but wotever ... and re titles, i'm sure someone else would be able to come up with a doozy ... and i know wot you mean about thinking up titles, coz they are an important part of the entire 'package' ...
oh yeah .. bye the way! ... its a beautiful photograph .. and i could see it as a postcard ... altho i dont think many tourists would want to go there! ... |
