i just love dark and gloomy which is a personal thing ... this photo is totally redeemed from the dark and gloomy by those lovely welcoming lights .... is that snow i see??? .. and you were out there in your pj's? ... well, it was worth it .. great photograph ..

this is very similar to another shot i've seen in a challenge, altho i see so many i'm not sure of the details .. the other one i think was a tighter crop .. but they probably the same sort of bird ..
love the bright red contrasting with the cold snow and the branches .. like a touch of warmth .

i love this shot ...... its bloody excellent ... it has a great feel to it and i love the contrast between the light and the dark & the black, red and white colours ...... i especially love the two areas where the light must be underneath, one to the left of the sign that has a red hue, and one to the right that has a purplish hue ...... did i say excellent?..
