very intersting write up ... and somehow i reckon you've captured the very essence of the place .. the trees in the foreground give a very sombre and eerie feel to this photograph because they have no leaves, they contribute to the feeling of desolation that i get from this image ... the overcast sky also adds to the feeling .. i love your composition .. just excellent ..

edit ... thanks for tips on taking lightning shots ... we've been getting heaps of lightning lately ... i'll have to try again next time using your suggestions .. the one i took that you commented on was taken in the afternoon, so the lightning wouldnt have stood out much against the sky anyway ..

Day 26 - Boston St Bridge

hi amy .. love the skid marks before the bridge ... it looks like the bridge goes off into nothing .. also looks a bit dangerous if you came at that bridge in the day and couldnt see if someone was coming the other way .. might be the reason for the skid marks?!! ...
and yeah it'd be great to do another gtg in a month or so ... wonder how it'd get organised?????

Day 24 The Fork

amazing .... love this shot ... just love the weirdness and wrongness of it ... its like some giant's been having a bad day or a bad meal ... and great how you inverted it ... before that it looked like a large fork in front of a building ... with the inversion the fork and the building have been married together somehow ... just excellent ... a real piece of art ......
