just havin a browse and came to visit your portfolio etc ... this is an excellent photograph ... they almost look like they're waiting to be beamed up by the next available space ship ... great in silhouette ... great postures ... the hooded one makes it even more interesting ... fantastic shot alicia .........

hmmmmmmm ... really cant decide between the colour and the B&W ... i think its like comparing chalk and cheese .. they are both absolutely fantastic in every way, just very different ... i dont think either one is better than the other ...
edit .. BUT ... i can now see that they are leaves, and not 'white things'!!! like i said in my comment on your b&w version ... and it the it no longer looks as if it could be a model train like it did for me in the b&w... interesting eh?

awesome photograph ..... love b&w especially when it's done well ... and this is done soooooo well done!!!!!! .... love that smoke contrasting with the straight lines of the train ... the more i look at this the more interesting it becomes .. i wonder wot those white things are in the foreground ... and now i'm wondering if this is a full size train or a model ... wotever you've done in the actual photographing and in your processing you've created a wonderful and intriguing image ... just excellent ....

OMG keith .. we had the same title in this challenge!!! .. i've been going thru my favs to see how they went in the free study and i just dont understand the voters at all ... this is such a beautiful photograph ... it should have done heaps better ...
