just gorgeous ... i love the drooping and dying flower, side by side with the growing ones .. and of course the ones yet to flower ... this tells the story of life for me .. love the contrasts ... and grain - i've said today in someone else's image .. 'wotever' .. i'm so used to grain in my own images that an image without it looks unnatural ... slight exaggeration, but i'm sure you get the drift ... :)

just coz dpc didnt think this rocked in the challenge, doesnt mean its not a good image .. i can just see this in some modern office gracing the wall .. and i reckon the ppl who came into that office would go ... "WOW .. look at that .. awesome man !!!" ..:)

the grain .. wotever ... i'm so used to grain on my own images that i think an image without grain is weird !!!!!!!! lol lol lol ..:)

well i've stepped over to your side of the street and i find that ITS NOT DULL AT ALL!!!! ... in fact i love this image ... love the scene ... love the darkness and especially love the squiggly branches silhouetted .. there's not much contrast in this, but i think it works because it gives a fairly sombre feel ... i like sombre!!!!!!!
comparing with the original i can say that you've certainly brought this to life with your processing ..

hi rob !! ... i just love this photograph .. i especially love the sort'v shadow over his eyes .. the focus is spot on around his face, the eyes and whiskers especially .. oh yeah .. those hairs in his ears too!! .. love the oof in the background .. an unusual composition but i feel it really works ... i like your border tho .. thats a reference to the fact that you didnt like mine !!!!!!!:):):):) ..
