just excellent .. i love the way the body's lying on the road and the posture of the 'spirit' .. excellent idea and love your processing .. i had a similar idea, and did my first long exposure for the religion challenge .. i called it 'a soul's journey' .. mine was the soul coming out'v the body and reaching up, to show yearning for the spiritual .. unfortunately too much use of vignette and curves, plus increasing the canvas size got me a dq .. i'm happy, coz it was bombing out real bad, and now i'm just more aware of wot i can and cant do in an advanced challenge .. also if i'm at all unsure, and i have time, i'll ask for validation before the challenge starts voting .. i hope you do well in this coz it is a wonderful image .... :) =9

poignant .. i love the composition with that expanse of dark blue/grey sky and the church dwarfed by it .. the closed gate is another excellent element that gives strength to your message .. the positioning of the person with his back to the church shows me that altho the person is looking, he may be looking in the the wrong place, which of course is a very common 'problem'!!!! ... the sunlight so bright on the church is like a 'look at me' .. if only he'd turn around he may find his god ... of course he may have turned his back intentionally on that particular god and be looking for god somewhere else, but still not finding him ... so many messages in this wonderful image ... =10
