if this did crap i'm thinking my entry in 'dreams' might end up with less than 4!!! .... this totally blows me away .. altho, when i think about it 5.7 is a pretty good score ... but for someone who has all 7's on their profile page except for a lone 6.99, then maybe 5.7 is pretty ordinary .. 5.7 for me is quite good!! ..:)x

yep, i'm with jon .. cant work out the score either ... i do think that you're high contrast shadow guy might'v gone better, but i'm usually wrong trying to gauge wot the the voters like ... i love the atmospheric feel to this image .. the lamp is excellent and so stark against that gorgeous dark sky coming down to the glow on the horizon .. i feel that it may have been the darkness that gave you the low score, but trying to please to the majority is very difficult .. i've found in dpc that sometimes entries made by the most artistic, original and creative photographers often just dont appeal to a lot of voters .. :)

omg ... i'm excited !!! .. think i better take a sip of coffee and recover .. ahhhhhhh thats better ... i love this image coz it has a sort'v old fashioned advertising feel to it ... we dont have many tins anymore for the more common types of biscuits ... the more fancy ones can come in a tin ... this conversation is making me all excited again .. i think i better come back to this later .. !!xx
