amazing place you've photographed here .. those structures look like weird aliens & they fit in so well in this alien landscape and the buildings .. very much a day of the triffids feel to me .. and yes very different .. are those birds or something on all the wires ??.. and i mean ALL the wires .. probably not .. they're probably transformers or something electrical .. :)

Fast Car

i like the colours and sense of movement .. i've done a bit'v photography while driving .. havent for a while after getting a fright .. it involved wandering onto the wrong side of the road and thinking that the approaching car was a long way off .. the 18mm wide angle contributed to my error ... the other driver gave me the finger .. it was a country road and i was going very slowly so there wasnt any real danger .. i know a few other ppl in dpc who carry out this dangerous pass-time .. i'm often a passenger now just so i can continue to use my camera while travelling .. i dont think i'd be able to withstand the urge if i was by myself and just had to take a photograph tho .. so join the club !! .. not dpc but ddc ... thats dangerous drivers club .. or dangerous drongos club .. drongos means idiots in australian .. !!! .. lol ..
ps ... and no i dont need to lure katee with treats .. she's the best and most intelligent dog ever, and of course i'm totally biased .. but i reckon she knows when i'm taking her picture .. i think she's a real poser .. lucky me!!! :)

another miserable score ... and another photograph that i really love .. it reminds me of a lot of things this photograph .. for starters it has a sort'v story book feel .. i can just imagine hansel and gretel skipping over this little bridge/path .. and the cottage i can see peeking thru the corn/weeds/foliage is like the gingerbread house .. is that the same fairy tale?? .. wotever .. then there's the memories i have from my childhood .. and there are overgrown, rural places in thoses memories .. love your processing and the dark, just about sombre, altho atmospheric feel .. :)

totally amazing image .. and just usm .. WOW!!! ... i'm a photoshop maniac, so there are very few photographs that i leave alone ... very very occasionally i take a photograph that is not improved with processing .. this excellent photograph of yours is one that really needs no adornment .. the blue and yellowy/orange contrast is something else .. this has so much going for it .. drama for one .. contrast ... perspective .. lighting ... etc etc etc etc !!! .. and i love your title .. :)
