hey deb .. i just now opened pik your fav pic thread and noticed this .. it literally jumped out at me . then i saw your name . i was surprised because i thought it looked different from your usual work .. the processing for one and the scene for two ..
on opening i could see it had been entered in the last free study and scrolled down expecting to see a 6.8 or something even more .. i was quite surprised to see 6.08 .. i then started reading your comments .
i must quote you on this because i've actually said the very same thing .. that if my photograph doesnt score well then its not the voters fault but mine for not satisfying their requirements sort'v or not anticipating them in a way ..
"And lest you wonder, kind viewer, if the lesson is directed toward voters, it is not. The voters are always right. It is the photographer that needs to learn the lesson, if she could only figure out what it is... "
so i had to laugh when i read that ... especially the bit about trying to figure out wot they actually want ..
anyway .. i think this is just brilliant .. its a fantastic photograph and you've given it a wonderful gritty process .. definitely a WOW in my book .. :)
ps .. very apt and excellent title too .. :)
