Without the blown moon, this is an amazing image. I certainly expected it would score a lot higher than it did! I just looked at your composite and I think you have a serious award-winner there.
Having previously lived in DC, the title spoke volumes to me. I laughed my @&& off. Question for me, which I'll also post in suck thread: did you use a star filter? I've been curious about those for awhile. Or just a very small aperture?
Your images are getting scary good. Way to go!

I really like this shot - I find the juxtaposition of the green eye and swath of green in the background interesting. I do think it would have scored better if the whole background more or less matched the eye. Harley is adorable. I love kitties!

I gave this one a 6. I think it's a great capture - love that you caught Knuckles mid-yawn. It is also pretty sharp for not being quite in focus. Maybe a higher ISO would have helped "freeze" the motion better, though of course I realize that also results in a grainy look. Tough to photo animals indoors while moving! I love kitties and Knuckles is adorable.

I love that you brought donkeys to what was essentially a "dog and cat" show! They are very cute and obviously great pals. Unfortunately, the photo is a bit dark and not quite in focus. A bit of dodging on the donkeys' faces might help bring them out a bit more?

This little guy is so cute! I love his expression. I think what hurt you in this challenge was the bright area in front right more than anything - draws the eye away from Chilli.

Obviously, a great photo. The soft focus and DOF are perfect. I'm not sure about the background - find the details a touch distracting - but the earthy tone is perfect to "warm" the gray dog. Congrats on that 6th place!

I like the pose and expression, but the color seems really off. Did you change the hue or up the saturation a lot? I also think the highlights toward back are distracting. Very cute doggie, though! Bet your grandmother will treasure this!

I found this photo so sweet it almost made me cry. The nostalgia in the expression is very well captured, and the composition is great. Way to go on that 5.9 - great score for a great photo!
