Careful With That Axe, Eugeneby VpphotoComment: My first thought was Jack Nicholson in "The Shining." Expression is great. Technically, though, I think the harsh white sky detracts from the face, and the composition could be a bit stronger. 5. |

Welcome To The Machineby GoboltsComment: Although this doesn't say "pink floyd" to me, I think it is an interesting shot, just the same. Looks like it may have been a tad over-shapened around a couple of the birds. |

Brain Damageby tamatamaComment: Creative take. Not sure the composition quite works, probably due to partially cropped fish at bottom. I do like the sense of surreal. 6. |

"Another Brick in the Wall" meets "Dark Side of the Moon"by saiphfireComment: Weird...fits the challenge well. I'm having trouble figuring out how you did this and what the building is. Doesn't look brick. Looks more like particle board? Good composition and use of light, but I don't think it would have much appeal outside of this challenge. 5. |

"Waiting For Worms"by ArtanComment: I like the perspective and feeling of movement. However, I don't feel the bird is sharp enough to stand on its own as subject. |

"What shall we use to fill the empty spaces"by hyperfocalComment: I really like the sepia, and I also like the vanishing point and how the trees grow misty toward the back. I'm not sure, however, how well this fits the challenge, seems a bit "shoehorned" in, perhaps. Still, a strong photo. 6. |

echoesby rhipsterComment: Extremely creative, and stunning lighting. What a fantastic use of mundane objects, and the border enhances this photo. My first 10 of challenge. |

Fancy Dinner: $300; Campaign Contribution: $10,000; Access to Power: Pricelessby levyj413Comment: Jeff,
Without the blown moon, this is an amazing image. I certainly expected it would score a lot higher than it did! I just looked at your composite and I think you have a serious award-winner there.
Having previously lived in DC, the title spoke volumes to me. I laughed my @&& off. Question for me, which I'll also post in suck thread: did you use a star filter? I've been curious about those for awhile. Or just a very small aperture?
Your images are getting scary good. Way to go! |

Harley Catby cuspieComment: I really like this shot - I find the juxtaposition of the green eye and swath of green in the background interesting. I do think it would have scored better if the whole background more or less matched the eye. Harley is adorable. I love kitties! |

a violent youthby posthumousComment: Don,
I gave this one a 6. I think it's a great capture - love that you caught Knuckles mid-yawn. It is also pretty sharp for not being quite in focus. Maybe a higher ISO would have helped "freeze" the motion better, though of course I realize that also results in a grainy look. Tough to photo animals indoors while moving! I love kitties and Knuckles is adorable. |
