Flightby PaulEComment: I know how difficult these photos are, and you did a fine job of capturing the heron entering the photo (as opposed to exiting) with wings in pleasing position. Unfortunately, though, he's not quite in focus. |

Sun-Kissedby smartypantsComment: I love the idea and colors, but I think at least some portion would have to be tack-sharp for higher score in this challenge. Still, very decent composition, and nice ruffles on leaf edges. |

Pencilsby scaloComment: Not a bad still life study. I don't think the flat light flatters the pencils particularly, but on the other hand, I like the hard shadows, as I think they add drama. YOur placement bisecting the table shadow is interesting, am not sure of reason for this, however. |

Looking Back In Timeby BeagleComment: I think super close-ups on animal faces are very difficult. You did a nice job cropping the right amount of face, but the unnatural color cast in the background detracts. |

Twin Terrorsby doug61853Comment: Great capture, and very cute. Suggest a little work on saturation and color-balance to really bring these boys out, followed by some sharpening. Then, bring it out on their first dates :-) |

The illusion of warmthby Darkend_SwordComment: I like the colors, but I think this would have to provide more detail / sharpness for a higher score in this challenge. I do think the small lights add effectively to your theme. |

Winter Grassby mtnphotogComment: I voted this fairly low simply because I can't see enough to get a real feel for teh photo. Suggest going all the way up to 640 pixel limit on longest side so that voters can really appreciate your art! This looks interesting and I'd like to see it larger size. |

Icelandic June Midnightby KrisbyComment: Interesting capture, particularly as it is midnight! Like the idea, wish the composition were a bit stronger with more negative space around front feet. |

sceneryby Shan2112Comment: I think it is almost impossible to capture bright clouds and sky in midday without totally underexposing adjacent scenery. You've done an adequate job here, but not bang-up, and it is very difficult to appreciate the scenery while distracted by the very bright clouds. Would love to see this scene taken in early morning or late evenin light. |

Arpoadorby mecfcostaComment: Looks underexposed and the horizon may be bit off. I suspect you had difficult lighting circumstances to work with here. |
