What the *&#@? I didn't vote on this, but would have given it a 9 or 10. I can't believe voters didn't understand that you put the camera on a table and took a photo of your legs. I didn't think a table had to be in the photo! This is just beautiful. What a sense of mood you evoke here. Into faves.

I was one of those who voted this high (gave it a 7). I think it is a beautiful 'slice of life' portrait that is both poignant and slightly menacing (one gets the feeling that she passes through a difficult neighborhood on her way home). I think this would have done very well in a Free Study; it is a very good photo technically and also tells a story. I guess the voters wanted super-shallow. Don't let it get you down - your photos are getting better and better!
