Don, this title was really something :-) There are many ways to interpret that, some of them pretty scary. My husband got a look of horror and clenched up when I showed him. Maybe because he just had exam for his 40th. But it certainly made me laugh!

BTW - one small item to consider would be to set white balance to "open shade" for a shot you can't correct in PS. It would have eliminated that blue tone to the snow. (Of course maybe you wanted that tone, in which case flog me with a wet noodle and I'll shut up!)

You did a fine job with exposure and the colors are very pleasing. I think what hurt you on this one was the lack of a definable subject area - I agree that I would have liked to have seen more of the tree or more negative space on either right or left. Still think you should have gotten a bit higher score, though - it was a solid entry.

I really like the lighting on the grass - backlighting and/or evening light is always a good choice :-) I admit I vacillated on scoring, because the pieces of garbage in b/g detracted me a bit. Good color temp on this, btw.

Look at those comments - a lot of people really loved this photo! I found it a bit soft for my taste, and would like to see the whole reflection of the heron, but I thought the subtle quality of the tree reflection was brilliant. Interesting OOB entry!

This must be that HDR thing :-) Really wonderful job of turning the mundane into something beautiful. Tiny suggestion - there is a small object on top left hand side of photo that looks like an accident? Clone out maybe? Anyway, gorgeous!

OMG, this is the best photo of an armadillo I've ever seen, and I've taken quite a few myself. I LOVE this, definitely into favorites. I can't believe you managed to combine those lovely green leaves with this little guy.
