Signs of Springby karenkComment: Very nice composition. Would like to see the full tonal range here, but very solid entry. |

m o t t l e dby kundimansabuwanComment: The face has wonderful textures, but the lighting could use a little work IMHO. Would like to see just a bit more of his features and softer light. |

Nightby jdannelsComment: The cloud formations are really lovely, as are the stars. The background is a touch grainy, but realize you can't selectively fix that in basic. |

Meditationby TCGuruComment: Nice use of black, would like a little more light on face and negative space to right of hand. |

Black Rainby AxleukComment: The shadows really make this shot. Has an ominious feeling. Would score even higher without the wall on the side. |

Low Keysby GeneralEComment: Cool idea, but the realization could use a little work - keys aren't quite in focus, and bag texture is a bit distracting. |

All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up.by posthumousComment: Don, this title was really something :-) There are many ways to interpret that, some of them pretty scary. My husband got a look of horror and clenched up when I showed him. Maybe because he just had exam for his 40th. But it certainly made me laugh!
BTW - one small item to consider would be to set white balance to "open shade" for a shot you can't correct in PS. It would have eliminated that blue tone to the snow. (Of course maybe you wanted that tone, in which case flog me with a wet noodle and I'll shut up!) |
