Woo hoo Jayson! Great finish for a great photo. I actually didn't even see the insect, and still voted you an 8. I appreciate the kind comments you left in regard to my photo, but I think this one does show symmetry better - and deserved the higher score. Anyway, very well done!

Magic Stick

This is an interesting effect and I remember looking at it long and hard during FS voting - and then not voting, as I couldn't make up my mind about it. I think what maybe detracts is that the magic stick doesn't look quite real, due to the painted effect. I'm also not sure about the light line bisecting the top area of the photo, as it maybe detracts from the inherent mystery of the two little boys on the path. However, I do find this captivating and it made me look several times.

Nicely done! I've been wanting to try the whole "eggs in b&w" thing, but haven't yet gotten around to it. I like how you chose a grouping instead of the ubiquitous single egg. I also like the lighting a lot!
