I'd have to agree on the wide angle comment below. Her right hand looks monstrously huge. That aside I like the lighting

um...this is pretty exactly the same as the image you submitted for the Nightmares challenge. Its almost a "count the differences" comparison. Lets see, the wing in this picture and its not in the other one. I see a bit more detail in the darker areas on this one.

I probably won't be the first (or last) to suggest this but why not go with something different?

Nice shot and very topical given the month.

I'd like to see this with a bit more DOF. The angle is interesting however I'd like to what this would look like without the trees in the background.

Great colors and I like the composition. (Almost an X created by the blossoms)

Greetings from the critique club!

Interesting idea for this challenge. Not sure how the water droplets were intended to enhance the picture. (Not saying that they don't its just that I don't see it..)

Good lighting and exposure for this shot. Focus is bang on as well. Composition is interesting but it seems like there's something missing. Perhaps if they were all lined up evently or perhaps in an interesting arrangement. (e.g. created a diaganol line or a wave perhaps?)

Overall a pretty decent shot.

I really like the idea. Hard to execute unfortunately. The shadows are harsh and its hard to actually see the colors (the purple and the green are quite dark). The other colors also look a bit oversaturated.

One thing that might have worked (whether it would be an improvement or not may be debatable) is to actually color the page rather than having melted wax.

In the end, this was a really great idea that was pretty tough to pull off.

Strange...I don't remember this image. Really great capture though. Definitely worthy of a top 10 finish.

Great shot with good detail throughout. I like the B&W conversion. The use of the border as a place to put the text works really well here. Improvements? Not sure if I can think of any. Something to try would be to take your converted image and then hand paint some of the color back in.

Effective as a postcard because this image does make me want to see this place in person.

Great job.

This is a tough image to critique. I like the colors and the exposure is well handled. Its sharp through out. So that all said, technically its a good image.

The problem I have is that my eye is looking for something rest on. The lines of the reservoir take your eye out of the frame. I'd be tempted to do a panoramic crop. (Start with where the nearest shoreline meets the edge of the frame and cut that all off)

Not a lot to say about this image really. Its certainly a shot I enjoy and I can't see much that would improve it and nothing that really is wrong with it. The colors are nicely saturated without being overly so. You did a good job on touching up the sky.

The composition is pretty good. I am a bit divided by having the leading line of the huts take your eye out of the frame but I suspect you shot this at the wide end of your widest lens and there was no way of getting all the buildings in the shot without cutting off one of them.

Its effectiveness as a postcard is pretty good too since it makes me want to visit this place which I think is the goal of a postcard.

Greetings from the critique club!

I can only imagine how pretty this place would be once the leaves come out.

The composition for this shot is ok but I find myself thinking of some different shots to try. One that sticks out in my brain the most is lying right down on the boardwalk. It also looks like you are at a corner or turn in the boardwalk. It would be cool to see both parts of the boardwalk.

Aside from that? The lettering is hard to read against the image. Minor thing to me as its a photography contest in the end but something to consider anyways.
