'Til the Storm Passes Overby karmatComment: The shadow areas don't have enough detail and highlights are blown out. This might be because the processing is quite harsh. If the processing were toned down a bit and kept to the basics I think we'd see more details and yet you'd still be able to keep the mood that you wanted to convey. |

aby undieyatchComment: Subtle use of depth and I like the line that draws you into the picture. Very subtle but effective. |

The Old Pack Horse Bridgeby hesitantComment: Wonderful shot with great representation of depth. There is definitely a foreground, mid ground, and background in this image. The paths help take the viewer through the scene. A circular polarize would help reduce some of the glare on the stones but otherwise its great exposure wise. I like the nicely saturated colors. |

Lavender Laneby tangueraComment: At first glace I was like "WOW!". Unfortunately, I see some glitches in the processing though that take away from this otherwise great image. There is ghosting in the sky and there is a sudden transition between grey and shadow in areas that seem strange. I am guessing that this was a HDR image made from multiple exposures and the images aren't quite lined up. |

Shadows of Timeby signal2noiseComment: I like the patterns in the shadows and the clock is a nice element to tie the whole image together. Nice monochrome look to the picture. |

Princess Sophiaby malenurse1979Comment: Interesting shot. The image seems to be a bit dull however and could use some adjustment to levels/curves to bring the whites closer to white. (i.e. the scene appears to be underexposed.) |

I'm Yoursby RompyComment: Beautiful scene that tells a great story. Background is a little bright but not overly so. The people in the shot are definitely engaged. (i.e. interacting with each other) and you've captured the connection between them quite well. Great DOF and good sharpness and focus on the subjects. |

Calm before the Stormby moriadelacroixComment: Processing is a bit off here especially with the haloing around the silo and uneven burning in the sky around the trees. Composition is a bit two dimensional as well. I'd be curious to see what this would look like if the buildings were shot at an oblique. |

Beauty in Black and Whiteby zackdezonComment: Great capture. Excellent lighting and good focus. Not sure about the expression on her face. (Almost looks like she is chewing something).
Good separation from the background. I might want to see a bit more light on the right hand side of her head. (Reflector would help there I think) |
