This is Wycoller Country Park nr. Colne, Lancashire, England.
This tiny hamlet was totally abandoned for over 200 years of its history. 7 bridges and 2 fords cross Wycoller Beck within a few hundred yards of one another. 3 of the bridges are of particular interest: the first being the Pack Horse Bridge. The second is the Clapper Bridge made from 5 slabs of stone (visible in the right hand background of this pic.) The third is the Clam Bridge which dates to prehistory and is made from a single slab of rock!
I took this picture on the afternoon of Good Friday and because it was raining was lucky enough to capture it with nobody around.

Wonderful shot with great representation of depth. There is definitely a foreground, mid ground, and background in this image. The paths help take the viewer through the scene. A circular polarize would help reduce some of the glare on the stones but otherwise its great exposure wise. I like the nicely saturated colors.

Love the stone textures and the moss.

A good solid image that is properly framed and composed there appears to be a little less focused than it should be. The greens are properly controlled which is always a problem for digital cameras. A little wider look at this scene would have helped the focusing issue and/or a higher ISO with a wider aperature. From an artistic standpoint, it is an intersting image but of less than universal appeal. A good entry into the challenge.
