Not really sure what to make of this. It seems to be below the streets rather than on them. That aside, black and white does work here as it adds emphasis to the shadows. I may have been tempted to dodge his face a bit to allow us to see a bit more detail.

Interesting take on the challenge. I like the choice of title (though I might have called it getting in my way!). Interesting choice using black and white. It really enhances your subject. The background gives good context to the subject without drawing a lot of attention.

Wow! Love the use shallow DOF here. The colors are terrific and really make your eye explore the shot. I like the sharpness you obtained in the main area of focus as it brings out a lot of subtle detail. The candid expressions of the people really works well.

The posed of the two men definitely lend to the title you chose. Good choice on the black and white conversion. Moving to the right would have been helpful so you could create more visual separation between the two men. A lower angle might have also been more visually appealing.

Interesting take on the challenge. I fear for the DNMC votes you may receive because there is no street. (I however am not so narrow minded). Nice colors and the background, though blurred, has sufficient detail to provide context for the subjects.

The fact they are looking across the frame helps as well. It draws the eye across the picture nicely. Because of this, perhaps landscape orientation might have worked well rather than portait.

Overall this is quite well done.

I like the connection between the title and the image. Good titles, such as this one, support the image and don't act as crutch. (i.e. they act as an explanation).

The angle is a little plain and I suspect you took this shot from across the street. One of the challenges for this type of subject is getting up the nerve to talk to the person you are photographing. It does take away some of the spontaneity but it does help you "see" the subject better and better empathize with them.

I like the idea here however I would have considered not desaturating the musician as well. The selective coloring helps separate the subject from the background but with him being desaturated as well it makes it seem like the subject is the shirt and the sax. Otherwise, well done and quite pleasing to look at.

Slight tilt to the left. Straightening would help quite a bit. Dodging the main subject's face a bit would also help as its nearly a silhouette.

I like the concept here though. You capture a lot of motion that definitely creates a busy atmosphere. Pretty well done under such lighting too.

This shot is okay but I feel I need something to make me understand why you chose this subject. The title leads us a bit but we need something in the photograph to help us connect. Maybe a different angle? Maybe having more environment to put him in context? I'm not sure.

A little bit crooked (leaning left?). A shallower depth of field would be nice as the background is quite busy.
