Spectacular shot. I love the couple on the left who are there but not stealing the scene. The sea wall on the left takes you eye up to them to the bridge then across the frame.

The lighting is what really makes this shot a winner. I'll predict that this is top 10 if not a blue ribboner. Simply stunning.

Really love the angle you shot this from. The angles of the building creates a lot of good visual interest. I love the detail you've captured in the buildings and the juxtaposition between the old and the new works well to create a story. I am undecided on the tree to the right. It helps frame the shot but it also obscures our view of the building behind it. You could also do this in sepia, black and white and other monochrome but I really like it in color as well.

Visually interesting shot. I might want to place the tallest building a little further to the left as its quite central where it is. This would also show more of the wonderfully dark sky on the right hand side. I'd be tempted to bump up the contrast a bit too.

Very cool shot. I like the motion blue of the river. It looks like you are right down by the river's edge which works. I'm curious what a shot from a higher angle would look like in comparison. The sky is kinda funky. We (in Calgary) had similar weather this week which screwed up my thoughts of getting out of town and doing some rural stuff. (Cityscapes with the lights making the clouds glow look cool I think).

I might be tempted to show less river and more sky as the bridge visually divides the shot rather than acting as an anchor point.

I like the clouds here but it looks liek you got carried away with saturation. The clouds have a very unreal look to them. The trees are nice for foreground interest however they are a bit underexposed. I'm guessing it was the sky that caught your eye however so that's understandable. Perhaps showing a biy more sky and less of the trees might have been helpful.

Definitely unique and quite effective. It'd be nice to see more of the city lights but I'm afraid nature's light show has taken center stage here. I like the detail that's evident in the clouds and the rich blue at the top of the frame. Really well composed with the lightning strikes getting the "sweet spots" in the shot.

Nice black and white conversion. I'd like to see a bit more of the shanties and perhaps the entire trees at the top of the frame. The water is nice here and does create a good leading line through the frame but the way its composed I'd have to say this is a picture of a creek rather than a picture of shanty town.

Aside from that I am guessing you used a polarizer which has eliminated the reflections in the water. It really helps with the mood you've created here. It looks like it was an overcast day so I would have considered exposing for the grass and letting the sky blow out. There's likely no detail in the sky to rescue anyways.

Overall this is a really unique approach to this challenge and hopefully one that other DPC'ers enjoy as well.

Not really a landscape I am afraid. I don't really feel this is a picture of the city but rather its a picture of two guys playing basketball. That aside this is a really tough shot to expose for. I would get to the other side of the court so they are being lit by the sun. From this angle they are very dark and its nearly impossible to rescue the detail in their faces etc under basic editing rules. (Advanced you could do dodging though).

Tough shot to compose for. I think the middle road is unfortunately the weakest. I think you need to choose to compose for the road or the shoreline. As such this almost feels like two shops mushed into one without really showing either side effectively. If this were under expert you'd be able to do a really cool panoramic that would effectively explore both sides.

I like the idea here. I would have exposed for the sky as its kinda bland the way it is. It would like underexpose the powerlines and the towers but they would be close to silhouettes and then we'd get an even better view of them.
