I just love this image. I think it meets the challenge perfectly! I gave it a 10 and think it should have scored higher overall. The lighting is what first attracts me to the shot, and then the composition holds me there. I like combination of the straight (radiant) lines of the flower and the curved lines of the curled ribbons, and the very soft color of the yellow center. Congratulations on a lovely entry.

I gave this a 9. I'm not partial to pet pictures, but this is an exception. This is a true animal portrait, and you have done a great job of capturing a white animal without blowing out the detail. I like the way the fur dissolves into the white background. The pink nose and ears are perfect for this challenge, and the eyes provide the wow factor. Too bad about the tip of the right ear.

This really is a lovely capture of a lovely subject. I think the contrast and shadows are perfect. The lines and textures are beautiful, and the subject is well defined. Great job and should have scored above 6.

Blue on White

Great idea. Lovely slant, curve, and color to the eye. Seems to be what light on white is all about. I agree with some of the comments that the skin tone is not the best. And I think it might work better if the top were cropped to just above the eyebrow, eliminating the dark line of hair.

I like this one a lot - the sweep to the curve and finally the curl ending in the sharp point. Interesting how difficult it is to make something so seemingly simple. Beautiful.
