For me, the skull is too bright/blown out. I find it distracting, because it prevents me from seeing it clearly. I really like the composition and color. I just wish it wasn't so bright in the center. Of course too bright is what makes the environment so harsh, but I would rather see this conveyed without blowing out the highlights.

This is a wonderful image. The composition, colors, and especially the beautiful soaring eagle. I love the fanned out tail. And I like the position of the eagle in the composition -- soaring into the shot rather than out of it. The misty soft feel of the landscape is a nice contrast to the sharp eagle. Definite wow factor here, and I gave it a 10.

You got a 10 from me. I guess I like "busy" photographs. The scene is definitely a harsh environment, and adding the cat (which definitely does not look added) showed for whom it is harsh. I like everything about this image.

I gave this an 8, because I like the colors, composition, and processing. I didn't take it all the way up, because something seemed lacking. I think TooCool put his finger on it. A focal point is needed.

I had a lot of trouble seeing this image on my monitor. I couldn't see the whole thing at once without copying it and viewing it in Windows Picture Viewer at a reduced size. Either way, on DPC or in Windows, I couldn't see it well enough to tell about the focus. I think I would like it a lot if I saw a very large print on a large gallery wall.

I agree with SkyNavada about smoothing the two sharp lines in the center. I find them distracting. Unlike many of the other voters, I think abstract art is a valid form of photography. And I find this image exciting and pleasing. I would prefer it without the stuff in the upper right corner.
