This would really benefit from a little adjustment from some photographic software. Most digital cameras come with editing software packed in the box. Just clicking on the auto levels would help this image a lot. There is nice action going on here, and you want to show it in nice sharp vivid colors, or black and white with good contrast.

I think cropping the top would improve this image. That would bring the boys face to the upper left "power point" (rule of thirds). You don't need the top of his head, and the stroller distracts from the wonderful moment of the boy smelling the flower.

The light in this looks very unnatural. It looks like bright sunshine on the front of the cabins and marina, but the sun is setting in the background. It makes it look like a cardboard cutout pasted on a moody landscape.
