Unknown destinationby birkinComment: I love the colors, lighting, and especially the background. I'm sorry the foot is missing on the bottom. |

Pureby Blue MoonComment: Your friend is lucky to have you taking shots of her baby, especially fabulous ones like this. I can just see the walls of her house plastered with your photos in a couple of years. |

Pricklyby KelliComment: This guy has great skin! I love the patterns on it. A really close shot would probably have scored better. But, hey, what are you going to cut out? The whole creature is so beautiful and interesting I'd like to see even more of him. |

Eyedby MelethiaComment: I really like the pattern set up by the three eyes and the three noses. That eye looks at you and looks at you and looks at you again. The more I look at it, the better I like it. Maybe that's why it didn't score as well as I think it should have - not much time spent during voting. |

Identityby xianartComment: I like this a lot and gave it a 10. I could tell that the hands had been scanned, but some of the fingers actually looked like x-rays. It's a really cool creation. I like the theme and the great colors. You seem imprisoned by your identity. Interesting! |

Child Ninjaby levyj413Comment: The eyes are lovely and clear. The image got a respectable score, but probably was hurt by the size of the eyes - taking up a little too much of the image area for minimalism. I think I might like this better if the sweater wasn't visible - just pure black, so it would look like a streak of light in the darkness. It makes me think of a good shot for a scary movie where a kid witnesses something from a hiding place. |

Artby raishComment: Nice minimal composition and color. The lighting is interesting because it actually creates an object of its own on the wall rather than lighting the subject. The image needs to be rotated ever so slightly, but that's not allowed under these new minimal rules. Probably the score was hurt by the fact that this is a picture of art and nothing else. |

I see you; you see me!by jaysonmcComment: Although all of them are nice images, I don't think any would have scored well in the minimalism challenge, because there is too much in the background. The ones that scored well had very little if any background.
Challenge aside, I really like this photo - the line of the path, the interaction between the dogs, the colors and textures. |

the old violinby ursulaComment: This is the best of the challenge IMO. I give it the gold ribbon. The textures, colors, curves, spirals and dots all put together in a masterfully artistic creation. This is why Expert Editing rules should stay. |

Breath's Entranceby posthumousComment: Has anyone ever accomplished this before: 198 our of 197?! Here we go again with the "true genius" thing.
Just wanted to add that this is very breathy - looks like a mirror or window steamed up with breath. Oh, but that would be from breath's exit. Maybe you put this in the wrong challenge. Message edited by author 2007-02-02 06:32:35. |
