bad hair dayby messerschmittComment: I really like the portrait of the man looking at the bottle of beer. I would like this image better if the top was cropped off to eliminate the photo on the wall -- just a landscape oriented portrait of the man. It says a lot about a lonely drinker. |

Autumn Colorsby MonicagdComment: The background is a very nice complement for the flower. I like the depth of field. I see  Jutilda suggested using Neat Image to reduce the noise. Someone gave me that suggestion when I started at DPC, and using it has helped my scores. I don't mind the noise in this image, but a lot of the DPC voters deduct points for noise. |

In A Different Wayby MonicagdComment: I gave this an 8 during voting. I like the mood, the composition, and light on the front of the crosses. The different cross in the foreground added interest. I agree with some of the other comments suggesting black and white. In case you haven't seen it yet, here is a link to an excellent tutorial for converting photos to b&w. |
