'Twas the Night Before Christmasby raishComment: This is beautiful, Peter. It doesn't say "Christmas" to me, but I love the colors and mood of the shot. My first impression was of oriental art, with that color cast, the black ink-like tree branches, the vertical feel of the hill, and the foggy/smoky Nirvana effect. Once again I love your processing. |

A bird's eye viewby purpleflutterby13Comment: Beautiful focus, texture, and light. I've never seen a frigate bird up close. It's quite exciting to see more than just their beautiful distinctive outline in the sky. |

When Buildings Lean and Bears Cryby jaysonmcComment: I really like this, Jason. I like the composition, but most of all I like the light and colors -- the blues and yellows of the buildings echoed in the painting. And the black of the man's coat balancing the black in the painting. I gave this a 9.
P.S. If this were mine, I would remove the three bright things in the sidewalk. Message edited by author 2007-12-31 01:25:13. |

BlueMoon.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Oh, that's great. I didn't know you worked with stained glass. You are full of surprises. Unusual to create a work of art from a beer label, but hey, Andy Warhol did it with a soup label. I love it! |

Alien Encounterby pointandshootComment: I love the textures and neutral colors in this image. The lens flares create an exciting sparkle while the background looks like an oil painting. I haven't any idea what he was doing in 1/6 second to create that much blur, but it works for me. Normally I wouldn't like the horizontal barrier the flowers create, but in this case, the white of the flowers balances the bucket, the lens flares, the blur, and the vertical lines of the wall. All together this image, which shouldn't work does work as art. IMHO |

The Everyday Birdby dinwaldComment: I don't mind the soft focus. I love the background with the fringe of green at the top and the flakes of snow. What I would change, if this was my image, is the white halo around the bird. It can't be done under the basic editing rules, but I would use the clone tool to erase the halo. |

coldfrontby wander-lustComment: I don't see the high wind in this image. I think it was an excellent idea, and would have worked if the exposure had been longer than 1/6 second. |

WOWby thsullivComment: Very pretty and atmospheric image. I'll bet this lantern casts some good shadows too. |
