Our youngest son's favorite brew: Blue Moon. He requested I recreate the Blue Moon logo/advertising piece in stained glass for him.
The design was completed last February when I had my accident. It took the rest of the time to heal enough to complete it just in time for his Christmas gift this year.
And my husband completed the frame and lighting to set it off well.

Charlene is right ... our son loves the slice of orange that is traditionally served with this ale.

Just came across this in the food and beverage gallery. I too am both a glass artisan, and photographer. Two thumbs up!! Blue Moon is one of my favorites, and you piece is stunning. I love the selection of glass you used, and how you mixed the glass on the trees. Was this done in the copper foil method? I don't know the details of your accident, but certainly know the amount of time and effort that went into this piece. Glad you were able to finish it time for a nice christmas gift. May glass never cut through alligator (jewelers) tape when you are foiling.

I'm not a big fan of Blue Moon, but this piece is fantastic. I give you a lot of credit for getting it done in time for Christmas.

That's so beautiful! My dad used to stained glass, so I know it's not a quick and easy thing to do. Amazing job there. Love your photo with the bottle of the brew - never had it, since I'm not much of a beer drinking, but that orange thing sounds good.

Oh, that's great. I didn't know you worked with stained glass. You are full of surprises. Unusual to create a work of art from a beer label, but hey, Andy Warhol did it with a soup label. I love it!
