P&S Challenge 6? by MelonMusketeerComment: Looks very familiar. I think we were out there on a boat during the FL GTG last Fall. I love the aqua color of the sea, but I think there may be a bit of color cast overall. I'd play around a bit with color balance to see it improves. Sometime I never know until I try it. |

Day 8by tpbremerComment: Nice composition and b&w conversion. I think I would have cloned out those imperfections on the rod. The healing brush would probably remove them very easily. |

Day 7by tpbremerComment: It's quite amazing that you were able to get this very impressive photo out of the faded and ill-composed original. I love the crop, and the b&w conversion, and the contrast. The grain is interesting and I like that too. |

Day 6by tpbremerComment: I like it, but I doubt if it would score well. Most voters don't like blur, or filters. It is definitely legal to get the zoom blur by manipulating the lens. But I think it is not legal to use the filter to distort the original. There are two bullets in the "You May Not" section of the rules that would apply to this. Sunset at the Snapper Reefby MelonMusketeerComment: I had to think about the tilted horizon for a while. Usually I am a stickler for horizontal horizons, especially for seascapes. BUT I have decided that this is the exception for the rule. It gives the feel of being on the boat and I like it. |

Things They Shaved Withby raishComment: How very interesting to have a collection of old razor blades. I remember when medicine cabinets had a slot in the back to dump the old blades into the wall cavity (or wherever they went). I like the random scattering of the blades, and the light showing the metallic texture so well. Really nice clear macro. |

• onion •by Bear_MusicComment: Very nice. It makes my eyes water. ;) Very clever to think of using such an everyday item to make an interesting and artistic image. |

Sunrise on Marsby levyj413Comment: Nice going. I like the black background, and the title is very imaginative. Good macro.
P.S. You have quite a way with spirals. Do you have a collection of spirals gathered in one spot? It would be interesting to scroll through them. Message edited by author 2008-04-28 10:04:18. |

Crackedby HipychikComment: Congrats on the top 10 star. You took a shell like so many others (including me) and made something extra special. You are an extra special photographer. |
