Concave or convex?by Rino63Comment: Very interesting. I love the colors and textures. I'm really surprised this didn't score higher. I like the blue, but I think it would also be a very nice image with the top cropped. Square crop would be simple and strong. |

Faulkner rememberedby quiet_observationComment: This I really like. I love the fountain sprays, and the girl lost in thought. There is a wonderful mood, enhanced by the excellent tones of the b/w. |

A Wild Goose Chaseby skewsmeComment: Love the title. It's a good action shot that keeps my attention and makes me smile. One can imagine a whole raft of stories while looking at this. |

The Last Tigerby colorcarnivalComment: I think you're right about the box. The tiger would have looked much more abandoned. Here he looks like he has been put down temporarily, perhaps for the night. I like the crop, the lighting, the b&w, and all the vertical lines. I feel a bit frustrated by not seeing his whole face. |

A (long lost) Relative Discoveryby MelethiaComment: I like this double portrait. It really does look like they could be related. I like everything about it except the straps hanging around Dan's neck. They really annoy me, and I don't usually get annoyed by photos. I think it's because everything else is so good. Anyway, to me, the straps break up the composition and take away from the portrait nature of the image. If you were taking a portrait of a photographer the straps would be okay, but I would want to see the camera too. I see that you got a decent score on this, so I guess this wasn't a big deal for the other voters. |

The Stowaway by notesinstonesComment: Ha, ha, I tried that once when I was little. I didn't hide in a suitcase, but on the floor of the back seat of the car. My parents were leaving on a train for a vacation, and I thought if we got to the station, in downtown Detroit, it would be too late for them to take me back home. Didn't work. They found me before we had gone two blocks. Needless to say, this image resonated with me. I'm so glad enough others felt the same way. Congratulations on your ribbon. |

StephinHosptial.jpgby KelliComment: How pretty she is, even under these circumstances. She does look a bit stoned -- feeling no pain. :) But what a big swelling she has under her jaw! Hope it's better soon. |
