I love this composition, DOF, and the combination of materials and textures. Everything is in such stark contrast, yet they all work so well together. I keep thinking it would make a great coffee table. You have quite a talent for design. The bright flowered box is a lovely focal point.

Not voting, just commenting. I like the color and composition. The light inside the lantern is especially nice and I like the black background. The crop seems a little tight on the sides, and the image feels a little off balance to me. I would try rotating it CW very slightly and I might tilt the little top ring toward the right. However, still life is not one of my talents, so please weigh what I have said against your other comments, and of course against your own preference.

What a lovely shot. The pattern of the cut crystal makes an excellent composition. I like the tilt and the DOF. The thermometer is a nice sharp contrast to the icy blue coldness of the rest of the image.
