Challenge: Lawn (Basic Editing)
Collection: Challenges
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM
Location: Harwich Port, MA
Date: Jul 28, 2008
Aperture: f/2.8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/500
Date Uploaded: Jul 29, 2008

Pretty much straight from RAW with some hue/sat tweaking. Lack of focus is intentional. Image is doomed, I know it.

My poem from which the title is abstracted:

"When I married my robot love, I knew
there were many strange things I'd have to do.
Not least, I planted a stainless lawn
for our android child to frolic on..."

So shoot me :-) Is this the long-awaited brown? I hope not....

Thank G_d, for people who make DPC interesting. The place would be impoverished, if not for you, and your kind here.

Robert.....love ya.....just didn't get it, though.

Not that I'm difficult to go past; I'm pretty much a meat-and-potatoes photography guy......8>)

Doesn't really saw lawn to me, even with the title to cue me in, but I love the image!

First I don't think a lawn has to be grass and it's a different take on the challenge then most but...nothings in focus! 5 for originality and a funny title. Best of luck. Scott
