The "thing" is not in very good focus. The focus seems to be on her fingers. I would really like to see her mouth in sharp focus.

A Dark Reflective Mood.

It just seems too dark on my monitor. I don't mind the darkness in the center, and I quite like the way the face is half hidden by the darkness. It's the midtones that seem too dark. Also the focus on the right side of the image is not sharp enough. I think it would have been better with a deeper DOF and more contrast. The b&w conversion layer could be adjusted to get more light in the midtones, or a curves layer.

This is beautiful. Yes the kitten is beautiful, but I meant the photo. Love the light, composition, and texture. Nice rich color too. The flowers in the foreground are the icing on the cake.
