I think I like this one best, because the smooth one, which I also like, has lost some of its feeling of 'sharpness' (as in prickers, not focus).

First of all I love that incredible tree. You could do almost anything to it, and it would still be dramatic. The smoke is sort of lost in this version, but I like the overall effect -- so crisp.

Cool. I like the effect. I knew something was "wrong" (meaning 'off' or 'unnatural') with the orientation, but couldn't figure out what it was until I read your explanation. It's interesting to hear and see how you are using TC. So far I have gotten very unnatural results with it, but this looks very much like natural trees. I'll keep trying.

Nice dramatic processing, and a very amusing photo. I get quite a chuckle from that woman with her back to the view on the observation deck. It seems she is using her telephone, but perhaps she is using it as a camera and is seeing something that the others are missing.

I like this one, but I still like the first one. I would try layering this one over the first one and then try some of the blending modes -- perhaps 'Lighter Color'.
