Turn Left Nowby GeneralEComment: Not much conflict/tension here. I think you got good contrast for minimal. |

Manhattan-2PM_053111by mariucaComment: Gives me the whim-whams. :) I like this in the abstract, but it's a little too familiar, and it makes me want to rotate my monitor. |

SEP 2 - Blue Toningby salmiakkiComment: Interesting that the blue toning makes the image look like it is full color with a dark vignette. It has an odd day/night feel to it. |

civilization and its discontentsby tnunComment: I really like this strange image, and this multiple exposure thing is all the more reason I am seriously considering the LX3. Thanks for the explanation. |

Frozenby HawkinsTComment: Too bad about the DQ, it must have been the vignette. I like the mood and light and grain. Nice b&w. |

The Long Sprint Home by jagarComment: As I said before, this was by far and away my favorite of the challenge. I never doubted for a minute that it would finish in first place. Congratulations.
Thanks for sharing your camera settings. I have never used in-camera b/w conversion, because I was afraid it would take away my ability to decide on how best to convert it. I see here, that when used properly, the in-camera conversion works beautifully. And this is really the answer to shooting b/w for a minimal editing challenge. |
